February Product Haul

As we enter this new month, I wanted to fill ya'll in on my favorites from February! I'd love to know if you've tried any of these products and how you felt about them!

I picked up these Sephora Collection ribbon hair ties and absolutely love them! They're very similar to the twistband headband that I got in my birchbox last month! My hair is slick and thick (that just sounds gross for some reason...) and these ties are perfect for me! Not to mention they're cute, so it adds something special to a regular ponytail!

Can I just say, I love Lush products.  I could maybe spend all day in that store. That little black jar has a sample of their R&B leave-in conditioner. I only condition the ends of my hair so the wonderful lady helping me gave me a sample to try! I love it, not greasy at all!

I also picked up my favorite shampoo EVER. This is the Godiva shampoo bar, it smells heavenly and cleans my hair better than anything I've ever used. It's also soooooo easy to travel with, I mean come on, look at that cute lil' tin! :)

Ok, if you read nothing else from this post, just read about this product...

Big shampoo has changed my hair (maybe even my life...too far?). Ya'll this stuff is seriously amazing. It does exactly what it says. It's a volumizing sea salt shampoo, the woman helping me said that it should really only be used 3 times a week because it can dry out your scalp (which is perfect because I only wash my hair about 3 times a week anyway). I have flat hair, and I mean flat. The only way I can get volume at my roots is a good tease...and that's just too much work. Below is a picture after my first wash + blowdry with this stuff. I'm in love!

Happy happy joy joy conditioner wasn't really a game-changer for me. Although I love the smell, I probably won't purchase it again because it's just a little to "light" for my thick flat hair.

I've been wanting to try this product for awhile now, apparently I need to start anti-aging treatments NOW because ya never know when you're gonna wake up looking like this:
Anyway, so I picked up Ole Henrikson's Truth Serum and I've been really happy with it so far, obviously I'm not gonna see results right away because ya know...I'm 24. But it is a preventative serum. It doesn't feel greasy or oily and it gives your skin a little bit of a tingle.

This is my all-time favorite eye makeup remover. Non-greasy, does the job. I love it.

My favorite face wash, always paired with my Olay Pro-X face brush, is Philosophy's Purity. So gentle, so effective. Again, this is probably not the first time you've seen this stuff. I'm telling you, just go get a sample and I promise you'll love it!

I'm kind of loyal to the Philosophy brand and wanted to pick up this Miracle Worker moisturizer. So far I've been really happy with it! It really moisturizes and again is a preventative product for aging. Love how velvety the cream itself feels!

I picked up the Sonia Kashuk Blending Sponge and I don't understand why I waited so long to get this amazing tool. It was so great that even my husband said to me, "Your make up looks flawless today" *GASP* Did he just say "flawless"?! Anyway, I love it. I use it to apply my under-eye concealer.

I have been using Bare Minerals Pure Radiance as a highlighter and wanted to try something a bit more pigmented. I have been so happy with my Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade! It leaves a beautiful yet subtle shimmer to the areas that I like to highlight (slightly above my cheekbone, down the front of nose).

After Kate from The Small Things Blog reviewed this lip product, I had to go out and try it! I picked up the Color Whisper in "pin up peach", "berry ready" and "bare to be bold" (pictured). It's very sheer, but buildable, I love how it feels! It doesn't last for hours, but it's perfect for a quick touch of color during the day!

And last but certainly not least is the Loreal True Match Lumi foundation. I wanted to try this foundation because of all of the amazing reviews on blogs and tutorials! It leaves a subtle glow to my skin and covers really well. So far, I still love my Bare Minerals better...but I'm definitely a big fan of this drugstore foundation!

Let me know if you've tried these products and LOVE or HATE them! I'd love to know!

Have a blessed week!

  1. Just stumbled across your blog & these are such realistic recommendations! I've been consciously trying to be more purposeful in my make-up/skincare products, but it seems like most blogs love the stuff that is WAY out of my price range. So thanks!
