Happy Easter!

Image
Happy Easter everyone! I am finally home in Cincinnati with my family, we got all dolled up for Easter and decided to take a few pictures! (Check out my stylish Mom and sisters!) Wish my hubby was here though!

Check out this video below, it's one of my favs! Easter is such a special time for believers, because we celebrate our RISEN Savior! I have placed my faith in the all-powerful King Jesus! That's MY King!

High Five for Friday!

Image
1. It's Easter weekend! So grateful for my Lord and salvation. Also grateful that I get to spend Easter with my family in Ohio!

John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die
2. My hubby was in Nashville last week tracking for a CD project for our student choir, I couldn't be more proud of him! But it's always better to have him home.
3. Our girls ministry is having a girls retreat in May and the registration opened this week! I'm so excited about it for my girls, and for myself! Lauren Scruggs will be speaking with her mother and sister, I'm so excited to see how God will change hearts!
4. I've had a bit of "hair turmoil" this week. I went in to get my hair done on Saturday and was incredibly indecisive. I either wanted a spring/summery lighter (caramel) look or red + purple.

We went with the caramel look first and I had…

New Chapter

Image
There are some changes happenin' in the Wagner house! My husband and I recently made the decision for me to quit my job and stay at home. The most frequently asked question I've received is "What will you be doing?". And also, "Are you pregnant"...which I am not.
Frankly, it kind of drives me nuts.
Like, I need to be doing something. I have no problem with women working, but it seems like there are some women that have a problem with other women not working.
My husband's job requires a lot of him, and he absolutely loves it! He's one of the most talented men you will ever have the privilege of meeting and it is my greatest joy and blessing to be able to support him in that. Being married to a man in full-time ministry can be a full-time job in and of itself.
But I love it.
I believe that the Lord gave me the passion that I have for music so that I could be the best wife for my husband. As a lover of music, I get so excited about the music that …

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede

Image
Just picked up this Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede in Couture, and I have stay I'm pretty pleased with it! Although it looks pink on the website, in person it's a pleasant red color.
The picture of me in glasses was right after application and the picture above it was after about 5 hours. So, the lasting power of this lipstick is fantastic! I've seen some reviews that have had issues with how the color fades; leaving just an edge of color on your lips but I have only had that experience when I had chapstick on my lips before applying.
So, I would recommend applying this lipstick to "naked" lips. I even exfoliated with Fresh Sugar Lip Polish to make sure that there would be even color.
I love the matte color effect as well! I would love to go back and get a deep berry color (winter colors are still on my mind because it's basically still winter over here in Dallas). Comment below if you've tried this product before and tell me if you loved/hated it!

High Five for Friday!

1. I received my budget and journal this week from May Books! I absolutely loved creating them, I took advantage of a 40% off coupon and created some for gifts as well!

2. I also received my meal planner, from May Books! I am so excited to use this! Carson and I have made the decision for me to stay at home and quit my job as an administrative assistant here at our church. It was a tough decision, but we trust that it was the right one for our little family. But, one of the first comments out of his mouth was, "I'm so excited for you to cook again." That just made my day!

3. Speaking of the hubs, I absolutely love to listen to him play the piano and this past Sunday at church, he played the most beautiful arrangement of "Behold the Lamb". I only wish we had a piano at home so that I could hear him all the time! So proud...

4. Remember the table that my friend made me a couple weeks ago? Well we finally found these chairs to go with it! I simply painted the leg…

March Birchbox

Image
Life has been kind of crazy the past few weeks, so I'm just now getting to post about my March Birchbox, I'm excited to try these products!

Benefit Benetint: I'm a little hesitant to use this product, simply because I've never used a stain before, and I'm worried that it won't come off very easily. I'll have to try this on a weekend where I've got nowhere to be! If you've used this product before, comment below and let me know how you liked it!

Supergoop SPF 30 Face & Body Lotion: This lotion (essentially sunblock) not only protects your skin from the sun, but also has a fresh citrus scent! Excited to try this when we go to Disney World this summer!

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment:Naturally high in omega 7 fatty acids, macadamia oil replenishes lost moisture, while argan oil smooths out strands and adds shine. This blend also has the benefit of cutting down drying time by zipping hydrating oil into the hair shaft while pushing out excess water.

This is my first OHP post! I had a thought the other day, "What if Pinterest suddenly crashed and all of our ideas, organized so perfectly on our boards, were lost and gone for ever?!"

Scary, huh?

Anyway, here are my favorites from Pinterest this week! Follow me here!

Change the Filter

Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
I'm working on filtering my thought-life so that I think only on that which is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.
This week's challenge:
No complaining No fear-mongering No criticizing No excuse making No gossip No worry No negativity
Pray for me, folks. And please join me if you find yourself dwelling on the negative and losing hold of your joy in the Lord!

High Five for Friday!

Image
1. One of my favorite highlights for this week was definitely attending my dear friend's baby shower. Her friendship is very precious to me and I absolutely cannot WAIT to hold little Jozlyn!

2. This was my view for Monday night and Tuesday night. I'm nearing the home stretch for my first online classes for this semester. Have I mentioned that I hate school? But the highlight is that after this week I will only need 2 more classes in order to graduate! Holla!

3. I have a slight obsession with paper goods, especially paper goods that can be personalized. I don't know what's wrong with me. Anyway, a friend introduced me to May Books and I just can't get off that site! I decided to order the budget book (review soon?) because one of my goals for this year is to be more intentional with my money.

P.S. They are currently having a 40% deal going on right now, which would make your personalized book cost about $16-$18! Enter the code: SPRING13 at checkout!

Erin Condren Iphone Case Review + Golden Ticket

Image
I haven't had a smart phone until this past year, I've only ever had the crappy slide phones. So when my husband and I finally upgraded to the iphone 5 I was so nervous that I was going to drop it and shatter the screen! I'm not used to carrying such an expensive piece of equipment with me at all times! So naturally, I purchased an Otterbox Defender case, for the three layers of protection. I absolutely love it, but it does get a little bulky and doesn't fit in my pockets very well.
I've been interested in the Erin Condren Iphone Cases and finally decided to try one out, I'm not as clumsy as I thought I'd be with my new phone, so I figured I could try a case with less protection than the Otterbox :)

The picture that I chose was again from our family shoot with Jake Ford Photography (back when I had long hair...and purple hair). I paid $10 extra to have them send me a proof before it was sent to print.
I chose the color charcoal for my name at the bottom…
